Southern Pump & Tank Company (SPATCO) is a Charlotte, NC based company that supplies a complete line of equipment and services for storing, pumping, mixing, and metering petroleum and industrial liquids throughout the southeast.

SPATCO develops fuel systems and blender pumps for alternative fuels including ethanol, biodiesel and diesel exhaust fluid?.

SPATCO has worked with several convenience store owners in NC to install blender pumps that dispense custom ethanol blends. One such station is Magnolia Marketplace in Magnolia, NC, which opened in April 2011 with one of only sixteen ethanol dispensers in the state. SPATCO sold and installed the UL-approved Dresser Wayne Ovation E85 dispenser, paid for, in part, by funding from the US Department of Energy. Another station is Sparky’s, owned by Hill Oil Company in Lexington, NC, which opened in June 2011. Sparky’s installed two UL-approved Dresser Wayne Ovation EcoBlend dispensers, giving their customers the ability to choose their desired ethanol blend: E10, E20, E40?, or E85. The store also installed two Ovation dispensers for diesel? and biodiesel.
