Most ethanol production is scaled appropriately for returns on capital investment and the pool of feedstocks available to the facility. In most instances, that results in large-scale production of 20 MGY. There are instances, however, when the feedstocks available may be low cost, but limited or where the return on investment justifies small scale ethanol production.
