Person County Economic Devleopment Commission (EDC)

The Person County Economic Development Center? (EDC) was formed in July of 2005 as a division of the Roxboro? Area Chamber of Commerce.

The organization began with the goal to promote a healthy, diversified economy with opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and for-profit and non-profit economic development for all segments of the community. EDC? has two sectors one dedicated to small business recruitment and the other industrial recruitment.

This organization works to recruit and encourage new businesses as well as provide expansion and relocation evaluation to existing and emerging businesses. Services include providing available statistical, demographic and economic information as well as providing information on the city's policies and procedures.
