Farm to Fly initiative

The USDA, Boeing?, and the Air Transport Association of America?, are working together to accelerate the availability of commercially viable and sustainable aviation biofuels? in the United States to increase domestic energy security, establish regional supply chains, and support rural development. To advance the initiative, each organization has designated people to serve on a working team to discuss how to promote commercial-scale production of sustainable feedstocks and the development of aviation biofuel production and distribution facilities. The team’s discussions have focused on existing statutory authority and areas that might require additional rulemaking, statutory, or funding changes to facilitate the large-scale production of biojetfuel?.
