Craven County Farms to Fuels BioBus?
Craven County Schools recieved a grant from the Biofuels Center of North Carolina to install a biodiesel processor on a used school bus. A processor and seed press were installed by Piedmont Biofuels. The "Bio Bus" was then "wrapped" to show the process, and to help us with education and community awareness. The community is excited about the education of its students regarding the importance of biofuels, especially biodiesel, but also hopeful that it can increase energy awareness in Craven County and across North Carolina. The "Bio Bus" has already traveled to forums in Morehead City, Raleigh, and Greensboro. It also traveled to a Military Growth Task Force forum in Jones County in August 2010.
