CEA Inc. is a consulting firm, based in Charlotte, NC, that specializes in commercializing emerging applications in biotechnology, including biofuels-related applications.

CEA Inc. was founded in 1993 by James R. Hettenhaus. Since 1997 Hettenhaus has led projects across the cellulosic? biomass supply chain for national laboratories and private clients to accelerate biomass commercialization for ethanol, chemicals and other value-added products. Projects have included:
