Founded in 1984, the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of renewable fuels for transportation through consumer awareness and government liaison activities.


The association's membership is composed of representatives of all levels of the ethanol and biodiesel industry, including:

•grain and cellulose ethanol producers
•biodiesel producers
•fuel technology providers
•agricultural associations

The CRFA holds an annual Summit which features sessions on both the Canadian and international industries, ranging from issues such as agriculture, commercialization, technology and advanced renewables. The 2010 Summit theme is Growing Beyond Oil: Delivering our Energy Future and takes place November 29 - December 1 in Ottawa/Gatineau, Canada's National Capital Region.
