Arisdyne Systems, Inc. is the leading provider of retrofit equipment and value-creating services for fuel ethanol and biodiesel producers.

Arisdyne specializes in designing small footprint devices that utilize controlled hydrodynamic cavitation. Controlled flow cavitation is a patented process that generates an enormous energy peak in the form of a shockwave creating a highly efficient and elegant way to reduce particle size, disrupt cell structures, and disperses agglomerates.

With more than 24 U.S. and 150 international patents and patent applications, Arisdyne Systems is an industry pioneer and possesses the broadest knowledge of cavitation technologies. Today, Arisdyne applies this technology to increase yield for ethanol production, reduce catalyst consumption for biodiesel production, and change viscosity of heavy crude oil.
Ethanol

With the power of cavitation, you can extract more starch to convert into sugar for the same amount of feedstock. Just a 3% to 5% increase in yield can save $3 to $5 million dollars each year at a 100-million gallon per year plant alone.

The Arisdyne CFC™ system requires little additional electricity and optimizes enzyme usage, providing additional savings.
Biodiesel

Biodiesel production begins by reacting triglycerides with an alcohol and a catalyst. The products of this reaction are mainly biodiesel and glycerin. The catalyst will form soap and eventually salt due to neutralization in the downstream process.

In our process the power of cavitation creates micro droplets which form an emulsion. Precise process control ensures a tightly controlled, repeatable droplet size distribution. Superior mixing and high droplet surface area allow for a fast and efficient reaction, which increases the catalyst efficiency.

The upcoming tighter specification is asking for lower monoglyceride contents in the end product biodiesel. The most efficient way to achieve lower monoglyceride content is to push the reaction with a higher catalyst dosage. We offer an opportunity to lower monoglycerides with no additional catalyst consumption.
Heavy Crude Oil
  • CFC™ destroys the agglomerates of asphaltenes?
  • Reduces the viscosity of heavy crude oil? to a large degree
  • Permanent change in viscosity, even after months without heat
  • Decreases the amount of diluents needed to transport HCO?
  • Thermal load can be reduced; saving on heat energy
